![]() The goal of the Sanctuary of Safety (SOS) program is to mentor individuals who live with the challenges of a Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD). We currently provide daily support to families and individuals who live interdependently in Chilliwack, British Columbia. This support includes:
Potential participants are 19 years or older and have a diagnosis of a FASD. They must have adequate living skills to live semi-independently, be physically independent and able to manage their own medical challenges. Individuals are able to meaningfully communicate with others and demonstrate reasonable behaviour and impulse control. To receive SOS support, participants agree to and commit to working toward goals of increased responsibility and learning new skills and strategies to improve their quality of life. Should a participant also have a substance abuse problem, involvement in a treatment program is also a requirement. |
Health and Safety
The Sanctuary of Safety (SOS) program partners with other community resources in order to provide support and safety in a healthy living environment. We encourage physical, emotional and spiritual growth, respecting diversity.
