FASD RESOURCES

For parents and caregivers:

These E-Learning Modules from the FASD Provincial Outreach Program are a great starting place to learn more about FASD.

For individuals seeking assessment and diagnosis in the Fraser Health region, please visit the Asante Centre website.

For parenting tips, try the Let's Talk FASD website and downloadable PDF by VON (Victorian Order of Nurses), which surveyed parents and professionals to create these useful strategies for raising children affected by FASD.

For adolescents and adults struggling to find a place to share what it means to have FASD visit the FASD Connections website.

For churches:

"Can’t, not won’t" is an FASD informational tool for churches available from the MCC online store. Included is a study guide to help your congregation address the needs of families dealing with the difficulties that come with the brain injury, and to find practical ways to integrate these families into your church. This VHS may also be borrowed through their library.

For the community

Finding Hope: Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder, was produced in association with the BC Ministry of Children and Family Development, the Knowledge Network and PLEA Community Services Society of British Columbia. It is available for online viewing from the FASD: Finding Hope website.

For info on the latest research and developments in FASD studies, visit this series of webcasts from Motherisk.
